-Rubén had the initiative to propose Juan Gabriel to record the duets album, which was the most successful in that decade and the most selling album in Juan Gabriel's career.
- In 2019 he was appointed by master Armando Manzanero and by the SACM board of directors as music producer and director of the Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México.
-Currently prepares the launch of the musical project of 3 of his children “Cumbia Pedregal” and will co-produce the “Maria Victoria” bioseries in which he will also compose the music.
